Slovenská golfistka Zoey Sophia Pápay sa vďaka kvalitným výkonom na U.S. Kids Golf European Championship 2025 prebojovala na European Van Horn Cup 2025, ktorý sa hral dňa 30. mája 2025. Na European Van Horn Cup sa kvalifikovali štari najlepšie hráčky a hráči v kategóriach 11 až 14 ročných po druhom hracom dni (Zoey Sophia bola po dvoch kolách líderkou vo svojej kategórii).

Na European Van Horn Cupe 2025 boli hráči rozdelení do modrého a červeného tímu podla umiestnenia po 2. hracom dni. Zoey Sophia reprezentovala modrý tím.

Hralo sa vo formáte Team Best Ball Stroke Play. Ide o formáy, v ktorom hrajú dvaja hráči proti dvom hráčom svojej kategórie. Každý má svoju loptu a víťazom je ten tím, ktorého hráč dokáže zahrať nižšie skóre na jamke. Hrá sa na 18-jamkovom ihrisku. Víťaz každého zápasu zároveň získa individuálne vecné ceny.

Zoey Sophia pokračovala aj na European Van Horn Cupe 2025 v kvalitných výkonoch a so svojou írskou spoluhráčkou Ellou Kenny dokázali vybojovať remízu proti jej premožitelke na European Championship z Thajska (Anna Ponghathaikul), ktorá tvorila pár s hráčkou z Maroka (Ilyana Belkhayat). Prispeli tým k celkovému víťazstvu modrého tímu v pomere 4,5 - 2,5 a stali sa víťazkami European Van Horn Cup 2025. Gratulujeme Zoey a ďakujeme za skvelú reprezentáciu Slovenska

Slovak golfer Zoey Sophia Pápay, thanks to her quality performances at the U.S. Kids Golf European Championship 2025, made it to the European Van Horn Cup 2025, which was played on May 30, 2025. The top players in the 11- to 14-year-old categories qualified for the European Van Horn Cup after the second day of play (Zoey Sophia was the leader in her category after two rounds).

At the European Van Horn Cup 2025, players were divided into blue and red teams based on their placement after the second day of play. Zoey Sophia represented the blue team.

The format was Team Best Ball Stroke Play. This is a format in which two players play against two players in their category. Each has their own ball and the winner is the team whose player can play the lower score on the hole. It is played on an 18-hole course. The winner of each match also receives individual prizes.

Zoey Sophia continued her strong performances at the European Van Horn Cup 2025 and, together with her Irish teammate Ella Kenny, managed to draw against her European Championship winner from Thailand (Anna Ponghathaikul), who was paired with a player from Morocco (Ilyana Belkhayat). They contributed to the overall victory of the blue team in the ratio of 4.5 - 2.5 and became the winners of the European Van Horn Cup 2025.
