V Royal Musselburgh Golf Club, kde v kategórii Girls10 18 jamiek hrá aj Zoey Sophia Pápay, pokračoval 29.5.2024 U.S.Kids Golf European Championship svojim druhým hracím dňom. Vydatný dážď v poobedňajších hodinách opäť úradoval a spôsobil prerušenie hry. Nakoľko dážď neustával a spôsobil opäť podmočenie ihriska, tak súťažný výbor rozhodol o pokračovaní druhého kola zajtra, tj. 30.5. o 8:15 hod. Po dohratí druhého kola bude nasledovať dvojhodinová prestávka a šampionát bude pokračovať svojim záverečným tretím súťažným kolom.

Zoey Sophia nastúpila do druhého hracieho dňa plne koncentrovaná, pripravená čo najviac zmazať nepriaznivý výsledok z prvého kola a vytvoriť si šancu na popredné umiestnenia. To sa jej aj v plnej miere darilo. Do prerušenia hry odohrala 9 jamiek a výsledok 33 rán/-3 znamenal priebežne najlepší výsledok dňa.

Zoey Sophii držíme palce, aby jej pohoda vydržala aj zajtra a svojim výkonom potvrdila, že patrí do absolútnej európskej špičke.

Heavy rain prevailed again in the afternoon and caused the interruption of play. Since the rain did not stop and caused the field to become waterlogged again, the competition committee decided to continue the second round tomorrow, on 30th May at 8:15 a.m. After the completion of the second round, there will

be a two-hour break and the championship will continue with its final third round of competition.

Zoey Sophia entered the second day of play fully focused, ready to erase as much as possible the unfavorable result from the first round and create a chance for leading positions. She was fully successful in that. She played 9 holes before the interruption of play and the result of 33 shots/-3 meant the continuously best result of the day.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for Zoey Sophia that her well-being lasts tomorrow and that she confirms with her performance that she belongs to the absolute European top.
