Zoey Sophia Pápay si odnáša zo šampionátu trofej za krásne druhé miesto, keď na víťazku kategórie Girls 9 jej chýbala jedna rana! Včera zahrala ihrisko na 35 rán a zapísala si konečné skóre -1. Je to najlepší výsledok v doterajšej histórii Slovenska na najväčšom mládežníckom podujatí v Európe a druhom na svete (po World Championship). Zoey dokázala, že vo svojej vekovej kategórii patrí k najlepším v Európe. Veľká gratulácia Zoey.
Majstrovstvá Európy sa hrali na 5 ihriskách v Škótsku: Craigielaw Golf Club, Glen Golf Club, Longniddry Golf Club, Royal Musselburgh Golf Club a The Musselburgh Golf Club. Všetky ihriská sú pri mori s krásnymi scenériami.
Požiadali sme našu najlepšiu na šampionáte, Zoey Sophiu o krátke zhodnotenie: “Na turnaj som prišla veľmi dobre pripravená. Deň pre turnajom som mala možnosť si zahrať tréningové kolo a zoznámiť sa s ihriskom. Hralo sa mi veľmi dobre. Ihrisko bolo výborne pripravené a aj počasie bolo na Škótsko veľmi dobré. Okrem posledného hracieho dňa ani nefúkalo od mora. Nakoľko mi veľmi dobre išla dlhá hra, tak som sa počas celého turnaja vyhla bankrom, ktoré boli na väčšine jamiek v mojej dopadovej zóne po obidvoch stranách fairwayov. Trochu som mala problémy s patovaním, čo ma v konečnom dôsledku stálo víťazstvo.”
Zoey Sophia Pápay takes home second place trophy from the championship, when she missed the winner of the Girls 9 category by one stroke! Yesterday she played the course with 35 shots and recorded a final score of -1. It is the best result in Slovakia's history so far at the largest youth event in Europe and the second in the world (after the World Championship). Zoey proved that she belongs to the best in Europe in her age category. A big congratulations to Zoey.

We asked our best player at the championship, Zoey Sophia, for a short evaluation: "I came to the tournament very well prepared. The day before the tournament, I had the opportunity to play a practice round and familiarize myself with the course. I played very well. The field was excellently prepared and the weather was also very good for Scotland. Except the last day of play there wasn´t any wind from the sea. Since my long game was very good, I avoided the bankers throughout the tournament, which were on most holes in my impact zone on both sides of the fairways. I had some problems with putting, which ultimately cost me the victory."
