Po skončení The Amundi Evian Junior Cup, pokračoval v dňoch 20.-21. septembra 15. ročník The Amundi Evian Kids Cup, ktorý je určený pre vekovú kategóriu do 12 rokov. V kategórii G U12 Slovensko reprezentovala Zoey Sophia Pápay, ktorá sa podujatia zúčastnila piaty krát v rade. Obidve podujatia hostil prestížny Evian Resort Golf Club, Championship Course (par 72).


V 1. kole nastúpili spolu vo flighte tri najlepšie hráčky podľa HCP Zoey Sophia Pápay, Mia Heuberger zo Švajčiarska a česká golfistka Sofie Chramostová. V 1. kole Zoey Sophia zahrala +3/75, priebežne bola na 3. mieste, keď na 2. miesto Aylin Baudy z Francúzska(+2/74) stráca jednu ranu a na 1. miesto Mii Heuberger (-4/68) strácala 7 rán. O lepší výsledok v prvom kole ju pripravilo patovanie, keď mala 6 trojpatov.


Do 2. kola, v ktorom hrali spolu vo flighte tri najlepšie hráčky po prvom dni, nastúpila Zoey Sophia s odhodlaním podať čo najlepší výkon a odčiniť chyby z predošlého dňa. Zoey Sophia zabojovala, v priamom súboji s Aylin Baudy ukázala presnejšiu ruku a pevnejšie nervy, zahrala +2/74, v sučte dvoch kôl +5/149 a vybojovala skvelé 2. miesto. Aylin Baudy zdolala o 2 rany (+7/151). Nad sily našej mladej reprezentantky bola iba jej švajčiarska rivalka Mia Heuberger, ktorá v oboch kolách zahrala pod par (68-69) a zvíťazila výkonom -7/137.

Zoey Sophii gratulujeme k výbornému výsledku a ďakujeme za skvelú reprezentáciu slovenského mládežníckeho golfu počas piatich rokov, keď vždy skončila na pódiovom umiestnení a v roku 2023 sa stala jeho víťazkou.

After the end of The Amundi Evian Junior Cup, the 15th edition of The Amundi Evian Kids Cup, which is intended for the age category up to 12 years, continued on September 20-21. In the G U12 category, Slovakia was represented by Zoey Sophia Papay, who participated in the event for the fifth time in a row. Both events were hosted by the prestigious Evian Resort Golf Club, Championship Course (par 72).


In the 1st round, the three best players according to HCP Zoey Sophia Papay, Mia Heuberger from Switzerland and Czech golfer Sofie Chramostova started together in the flight. In the 1st round, Zoey Sophia played +3/75, she was in 3rd place, one shot behind 2nd place Aylin Baudy from France

(+2/74) and 7 shots behind 1st place Mii Heuberger (-4/68). A putt prevented her from achieving a better result in the first round, when she had 6 triple-parries.


Zoey Sophia entered the 2nd round, where the three best players after the first day played together in the flight, determined to give her best performance and make up for the mistakes of the previous day. Zoey Sophia fought hard, in a direct duel with Aylin Baudy she showed a more accurate hand and stronger nerves, playing +2/74, in the two-round total +5/149 and won a great 2nd place. She defeated Aylin Baudy by 2 shots (+7/151). Only her Swiss rival Mia Heuberger was stronger than our young representative, who played under par in both rounds (68-69) and won with a score of -7/137.

Congratulations to Zoey Sophia on her excellent result and thank you for the great representation of Slovak youth golf over the past five years, always finishing on the podium and becoming its winner in 2023.
