V Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club sa v dňoch 18.-20. novembra konal 29. ročník Faldo Junior Tour Europe Grand Final aj so štvoricou slovenských reprezentantov, medzi ktorými bola aj najmladšia a jediná 12 ročná účastníčka Grand Final Zoey Sophia Pápay.


V prvom kole Zoey Sophia zahrala štyri rany nad par (+4/74), keď si zapísala 1 eagle, 1 birdie, 10 parov, 5 bogey a 1 double bogey a patrilo jej delené 15. miesto. Výborný výkon predviedla v 2. kole, keď zahrala ranu pod par (-1/69), zapísala si 5 birdie, 4 bogey a 9 parov a posunula sa na skvelé 10. miesto.

V treťom kole jej šťastie neprialo, zahrala 10 rán nad par (+10/80), keď si zapísala 1 double bogey, 8 bogey a 9 parov, neudržala miesto v najlepšej 10tke a klesla na konečné 16. miesto (+13/223).


Zoey Sophia bola jednou z deviatich hráčiek v kategórii G U16, ktoré dokázali zahrať ihrisko pod par (-1/69 v 2. kole) a zároveň to dokázala ako jediná zo slovenskej štvorice. Ukázala svoj potenciál a bojovala do posledného kola o popredné umiestnenia. Jej výkon je aj vzhľadom ku jej veku veľkým prísľubom do budúcnosti.


Na základe výsledkov v turnaji poskočila Zoey Sophia vo WAGR o 128 miest na priebežné 2738. miesto k čomu jej gratulujeme!

The 29th Faldo Junior Tour Europe Grand Final was held at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club from 18-20 November, with four Slovak representatives, including the youngest and only 12-year-old Grand Final participant, Zoey Sophia Papay.


In the first round, Zoey Sophia played four shots over par (+4/74), when she recorded 1 eagle, 1 birdie, 10 pars, 5 bogeys and 1 double bogey, and was tied for 15th place. She showed an excellent performance in the second round, when she played a shot under par (-1/69), recorded 5 birdies, 4 bogeys and 9 pars, and moved up to an excellent 10th place.

In the third round, she was not lucky, she played 10 shots over par (+10/80), when she recorded 1 double bogey, 8 bogeys and 9 pars, she did not maintain her place in the top 10 and fell to the final 16th place (+13/223).


Zoey Sophia was one of nine players in the G U16 category who managed to play the course under par (-1/69 in the 2nd round) and at the same time she was the only one from the Slovak four who managed to do so. She showed her potential and fought until the last round for the top positions. Her performance is also a great promise for the future, considering her age.


Based on the results of the tournament, Zoey Sophia jumped 128 places in the WAGR to the current 2738th place, which we congratulate her on!
