Po 2. mieste po playoff na Národných majstrovstvách Girls U13 a 1. mieste na 2024 First tee Miami Doral Jr. Classic dosiahla Zoey Sophia Pápay opäť vynikajúci výsledok, keď na PGA National Junior Open obsadila v kategórii Girls U13 skvelé 2. miesto.

Turnaj zo série Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, najväčšej viacdennej juniorskej golfovej túre v USA, sa odohral 27.-28. decembra na PGA National Resort (Palm Beach Garden, Florida).


Zoey Sophia si už v 1. kole vytvorila výbornú pozíciu, keď zahrala par ihriska (72). Zapísala si 3 birdie, 12 parov, 3 bogey a priebežne figurovala na 2. mieste tri rany za líderkou.

Druhé kolo ovplyvnilo neustále sa meniace počasie, keď sa striedal dážď, vietor a slnko. To z časti ovplyvnilo aj výkon Zoey Sophie, ktorá si do 15. jamky zapísala +4 (4 bogey, 11 parov) a priebežne sa prepadla na delenú tretiu priečku so stratou 2 rán na druhé miesto. V závere však zabojovala, na 16. jamke si zapísala birdie, na 17. a 18. jamke par a výsledok v 2. kole +3/75. V súčte oboch kôl zahrala +3/147, čo je vynieslo skvelé 2. miesto.

Zoey Sophii srdečne gratulujeme a tešíme sa na ďalšie výborné správy z amerického turné.

With 2nd place after the playoff at the Girls U13 National Championship and 1st place at the 2024 First tee Miami Doral Jr. Classic Zoey Sophia Papay achieved another excellent result when she took a great 2nd place in the Girls U13 category at the PGA National Junior Open.

The tournament from the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour series, the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the

USA, took place on the 27th-28th December at the PGA National Resort (Palm Beach Garden, Florida).


Zoey Sophia already created an excellent position in the 1st round when she played a par of the course (72). She recorded 3 birdies, 12 pars, 3 bogeys and continuously ranked 2nd, three shots behind the leader.

The second round was affected by the constantly changing weather as rain, wind and sun alternated. This partly influenced the performance of Zoey Sophia, who recorded a +4 (4 bogeys, 11 pars) by the 15th hole and gradually fell to a shared third place with a loss of 2 shots to second place. In the end, however, she fought back, she recorded a birdie on the 16th hole, a par on the 17th and 18th holes, and the result in the 2nd round was +3/75. In the sum of both rounds, she played +3/147, which earned her a great 2nd place.
