V dňoch 21. - 22. 9. 2024 sa najlepší európsky golfisti do 12 rokov stretli v Evian Golf Resort na veľkom finále The Amundi Evian Kids Cup 2024. Na tejto jedinečnej príležitosti pre najmladších golfistov sa v kategórii Girls U11 zúčastnila aj veľká slovenská golfová nádej Zoey Sophia Pápay.
1. kolo začala výborne a po štyroch birdie, jednom bogey a štyroch pároch, so skóre -3 predbežne viedla. Bohužiaľ organizačná prestávka, ktorá nastala po deviatich jamkách Zoey Sophii neprospela, vyviedla ju z koncentrácie a po nevydarenej 10. a 11. jamke neudržala emócie a zvyšok dohrávala so slzami. Napriek zaváhaniu figurovala po 1. hracom dni na priebežnom druhom mieste so stratou 5 rán na líderku a s reálnou šancou bojovať o celkové prventvo.
2. hrací deň bol opakom toho prvého. Zoey Sophia sa nevyhla chybám na prvej deviatke a aj napriek dvom zahratým birdie ju zahrala so skóre +6. Na druhej deviatke sa zlepšila, zahrala ju v pare (dve birdie, dva bogey, 5 parov), celkovo kolo +6/78, čo jej zabezpečilo vynikajúce druhé miesto.
Zoey Sophia preukázala vysokú kvalitu, keď aj svoje štvrté vystúpenie na tomto prestížnom podujatí dokázala premeniť na pódiové umiestnenie.

On 21st-22nd September 2024, the best European golfers under the age of 12 met at the Evian Golf Resort for the grand final of The Amundi Evian Kids Cup 2024. In this unique opportunity for the youngest golfers, the great Slovakian golf hope Zoey Sophia Papay also participated in the Girls U11 category.
She started the 1st round excellently and after four birdies, one bogey and four pars, she was provisionally in the lead with a score of -3. Unfortunately, the organizational break that occurred after nine holes did not benefit Zoey Sophia, it took her out of concentration, and after the unsuccessful 10th and 11th holes, she could not contain her emotions and finished the rest in tears. Despite the hesitation, after the 1st day of play she was in second place with a loss of 5 shots to the leader and with a real chance to fight for the overall first place.
The 2nd playing day was the opposite of the first. Zoey Sophia did not avoid mistakes on the first nine and, despite two birdies, played it with a score of +6. She improved on the second nine, playing it in par (two birdies, two bogeys, 5 pars), a total round of +6/78, which secured her an excellent second place.
Zoey Sophia showed high quality when she managed to turn even her fourth appearance at this prestigious event into a podium finish.
