Senzačným víťazstvom na 2024 First tee Miami Doral Jr. Classic v kategórii Girls 10-11 na ihrisku Trump National Doral (Miami, Florida) pokračuje Zoey Sophia Pápay v americkom turné. Turnaj, ktorý sa organizuje od roku 1981 a každoročne patrí k jedným z najväčších, čo sa týka účasti juniorských golfistov a náboru amerických vysokých škôl, sa odohral v dňoch 18.-19. decembra 2024.

Turnaj sprevádzalo pekné slnečné počasie, ked teploty dosahovali 26 stupňov, ale s nepríjemným vetrom. Ten čiastočne ovplyvnil aj výkon Zoey Sophie v 1. kole, keď mala problém hlavne s dĺžkou rán a následným patovaním. V prvom kole zahrala 1 birdie, 4 pary, 4 bogey a s výsledkom +3/39 figurovala na priebežnom delenom 2. mieste, so stratou dvoch rán na líderku.

V 2. kole Zoey Sophia parádne zabojovala. Ako jediná hráčka vo svojej vekovej kategórii zahrala 2.kolo v pare (2 birdie, 5 parov, 2 bogey) a s celkovým výsledkom po dvoch súťažných dňoch +3/75 sa tešila z krásnej trofeje za víťazstvo s náskokom 2 rán pred druhou a 3 rán pred treťou v poradí.

Toto víťazstvo patrí medzi jej najväčší golfový úspech a zároveň je to prvé veľké víťazstvo z americkej pôdy. Srdečne blahoželáme a prajeme veľa ďalších úspechov.

Sensational victory at the 2024 First tee Miami Doral Jr. Classic in the Girls 10-11 category at Trump National Doral (Miami, Florida) Zoey Sophia Papay continues her American tour. The tournament, which

has been organized since 1981 and is annually one of the largest in terms of the participation of junior golfers and the recruitment of American universities, took place on the 18th-19th of December 2024.

The tournament was accompanied by nice sunny weather, when the temperature reached 26 degrees, but with an unpleasant wind. This partly affected the performance of Zoey Sophia in the 1st round, when she had a problem mainly with the length of the shots and subsequent putting. In the first round, she played 1 birdie, 4 pars, 4 bogeys and with a result of +3/39, she was currently tied for 2nd place, losing two shots to the leader.

In the 2nd round, Zoey Sophia fought brilliantly. As the only player in her age category, she played the 2nd round in par (2 birdies, 5 pars, 2 bogeys) and with a total result after two days of competition of +3/75, she enjoyed a beautiful trophy for winning with an advantage of 2 shots over the second and 3 shots ahead before third in line.

This victory is among her greatest golfing achievements and is also her first major victory on American soil. We heartily congratulate you and wish you many more successes.
