V Southern Pines Golf Club odštartovala prvým kolom aj kategória dievčat U10, v ktorej bojuje slovenská reprezentantka Zoey Sophia Pápay, debutantka na U.S. Kids Golf World Championship. Zoey Sophia začala výborne a na prvých štyroch jamkách zahrala par. Na ďalších jamkách sa nevyhla zaváhaniam kôli náročným pin pozíciám, ale pozitívum je, že sa nevzdávala a prvú deviatku opäť zakončila parom. Bojovala až do konca a na 13. jamke a na posledných dvoch jamkách zahrala opäť par,  čím zavŕšila počet parov na osem. O náročnosti ihriska svedčí aj fakt, že iba 4 hráčky sú v červených číslach a ďalšie dve si zapísali par ihriska. Zoey po nie najvydarenejšom dni predbežne figuruje na delenom 60. mieste, ale v jej silách a schopnostiach je určite posunúť sa vyššie v poradí. Držíme palce a päste.

At the Southern Pines Golf Club, the U10 girls' category also started with the first round, in which the Slovakian representative Zoey Sophia Pápay, a debutant in the U.S., is competing at U.S. Kids Golf World Championship. Zoey Sophia got off to a great start and made par on the first four holes. On the next holes, she did not avoid hesitations around difficult pin positions, but the positive thing is that she did not give up and finished the first nine again with par. She battled until the end and made par again on the 13th hole and the last two holes, bringing her par tally to eight. The fact that only 4 players are in the red and the other two recorded a par of the course also testifies to the difficulty of the field. After a not-so-successful day, Zoey is provisionally ranked 60th, but she definitely has the strength and abilities to move up the ranks. We keep our fingers crossed.
