Vo francúzskom Evian Resort Golf Club skončila tohtoročná edícia Haribo Kids Cup (HKC) veľkým úspechom našej Zoey Sophia Pápay, ktorá sa v spoločnej kategórii U9 umiestnila na výbornom 3. mieste, keď pred Zoey skončili iba dvaja francúzski hráči. - In the French Evian Resort Golf Club, this year´s edition of the Haribo Kids Cup (HKC) ended with a great success for our Zoey Sophia Pápay, who took an excellent 3rd place in the joint U9 category, when only two French players finished ahead of Zoey.
Zoey bola z dievčat najlepšia, porazila aj domáce hráčky, vicemajsterky sveta 2022. Aj druhé kolo pre SKGA zhodnotil Zoein otec: "Dnes hralo prím počasie, kvôli ktorému sa menili pravidlá a všetky 18 jamkové kategórie (10,11 a 12 roční) sa museli skrátiť iba na 9 jamiek. Počasie malo vplyv aj na to, že sa zmenil čas štartu spoločnej kategórie do 9 rokov, čo čiastočne ovplyvnilo hráčov na prvých jamkách. Menšiemu zaváhaniu na začiatku sa nevyhla ani Zoey, ktorá po páre na prvej jamke, stratila päť rán na dalších štyroch jamkách, ale v závere ukázala obrovskú morálnu silu a bojovnosť a tromi pármi a jedným birdie potvrdila celkové 3. miesto, čo bolo zároveň aj najlepšie umiestnenie z dievčat. Teší aj fakt, že porazila najlepšiu francúzsku hráčku v tejto vekovej kategórii." A čo hovorí Zoey Sophia Pápay na ihrisko a spoluhráčov: “Ihrisko bolo nádherné, ale keď nie si presný, tak hneď si v nejakých problémoch. Hrať v spoločnej kategórii nie je vôbec ľahké, nakoľko chlapci sú väčšinou o dosť dlhší, ale ja som sa im dokázala vyrovnať krátkou hrou.”
Zoey patrí obrovská gratulácia, a zároveň ďakujeme za reprezentáciu slovenského golfu.
Zoey was the best of the girls, she also beat domestic players, vice- champions of the world in 2022.
The second round for SKGA was also evaluated by the Zoey´s father: „Today the weather was in charge, because of which the rules were changed and all 18 holes categories (10, 11 and 12 years old) had to be shortened to only 9 holes. The weather also had an effect on the fact that changed the start time of the joint category under 9, which partially affected the players on the first holes. Zoey also had small hesitation at the beginning, who after a pair on the 1st hole, lost 5 shots on the next 4 holes, but in the end she showed enormous moral strength and fighting spirit and with three pairs and one birdie, she confirmed the overall 3rd place, which was also the best ranking among the girls. She is also pleased with the fact that she beat the best French player in this age category. “
And what Zoey Sophia Pápay says about the pitch and her teammates: „The course was beautiful, but if you´re not accurate, you´re immediately in some trouble. Playing in the shared category with boys is not at all easy, as the boys are usually much taller, but I was able to match them with a sort game“.
