Minulý rok skončila Zoey Sophia Pápay na Haribo Kids Cup v kategórii U8 na 4. mieste. - Last year, Zoey Sophia Papay finished in the 4th place at the Haribo Kids Cup in the U8 category.
Tento rok je opäť v Evian Resort Golf Club, hrá v kategórii U9. Po skončení 1. kola má Zoey za sebou aj slávnostnú recepciu. A ako sa jej darilo na ihrisku? Skvele. Priamo z dejiska sa nám ozval p. Pápay, otec Zoey: "Zoey hrala v treťom flajte, po odohratí bola priebežne druhá. Ale začínalo sa od najlepších, tak je predpoklad, že priebežne by tak mohla aj skočiť. Našťastie sa poobede umúdrilo počasie a prestalo pršať. Dnes Zoey zahrala excelentne. Hrať v spoločnej kategórii s chlapcami je náročné. Tento rok sa zišla silná konkurencia a poteší, že Zoey dokáže držať krok s najlepšími Francúzmi v tejto vekovej kategórii, pretože aj na nedávno skončením The Amundi Evian Juniors Cupe sa ukázalo kto momentálne kraľuje mládežníckemu golfu do 14 rokov. Verím že forma a pohoda jej vydrží aj do dnešného 2.kola a opäť prinesie krásny úspech na Slovensko. Zoey si už zvykla na nové palice, bola dostatočne dlhá a triafala ferveje, čo bolo pri vysokých rafoch dnes veľmi dôležité. Tradične ju podržalo aj patovanie, ktoré pri rýchlych a zvlnených greenoch nebolo vôbec jednoduché." Zoey, držíme palce aj päste a ďakujeme p. Pápayovi za info z turnaja.

This year, she is back the Haribo Kids Cup and she plays in the U9 category. After the end of the 1st round, Zoey had a ceremonial reception. And how did she do on the field? Great. We were contacted directly from the scene by the Mr. Papay, Zoey´s father: „Zoey played in the third flight, after her performance she was provisionally second. But it started from the best players, so it is assumed that she could also finish like that. Fortunately, the weather cleared up in the afternoon and it stopped raining. Today Zoey played excellently.
Playing in the shared category with boys is difficult. This year is filled with strong competition and it is pleasing that Zoey can keep up the best French players in this age category, as the recently concluded the Amundi Evian Junior Cup showed who are the leaders in youth golf under 14 years old. I believe that her form and well- being will last until today´s 2nd round and she will once again bring great success to Slovakia. Zoey has already gotten used to the new
clubs, she was sufficiently long and she hit the fairways, which was very important today with the high raffs. Traditionally, she was also strong with her putting, which was no easy at all on fast and curvy greens. „
